New accessibility media player available

Yesterday we received  an email from Simon Hogg from  The Office for Disability Issues offering us their media player. I first asked about it in Jan 2010. It’s been a long wait but now you can use it too – for free. So if you want the option to add and view subtitles, audio description or sign language on videos there is a new option. Video complaint to Baroness Warsi Chair of Conservatives

This video is an open letter of complaint to Baroness Warsi, Chair of Conservative Party asking why my complaints about Conservative website video content and live streaming of the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham is inaccessible to Deaf or Hard of Hearing people. Exciting news to announce that DaDa the Disability and Deaf Arts agency in Liverpool is delivering a short project for twenty Deaf Arts and Cultural Leaders, at ‘mid career’ stages on their developments. Watch the 20th Anniversary celebrations from the Americans with Disabilities Act

It’s been 20 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act came into force. Celebrations took place yesterday at The White House and it was streamed online live with American Sign Language and subtitles.
