Motorpoint Arena Cardiff – where attitude is everything

UPDATE: R has emailed us (7.30pm) to tell us he has been given a disabled/carer’s pass and hope he now enjoys return visits to Motorpoint Arena! A record we only blogged about this 3 hours ago… We were contacted by a disabled music fan (who we will call R) based in Cardiff who asked if we could help sort out why he had not heard back from CIA/Motorpoint Arena regarding his appeal to be re-accepted for a Disabled / Carer’s pass....

All the Bells – what happens when London 2012 fails to add subtitles

Curious to find out what all this bell ringing lark was about that takes place at percisly 8.12 am on Friday 27th July 2012 is about I watched the video of Martin Creed talking about this in ALL THE BELLS on you tube. As with ALL of the videos produced by London 2012 and Cultural Olympipad this was another one that WASNT SUBTITLED. Being deaf I wanted to know what Martin was saying so I used You Tube’s automatic captioning facility (the CC button)...

Battle for Accessible tickets- de ja vu!

Guest post by Samantha On April 12th, one of my favourite artists in the world, Rufus Wainwright, announced an Autumn tour, I was interested in going to several of the gigs. The tickets were due to go on sale on Friday 20th April, but members of Rufus’ website could access the ArtistTickets.com presale on Wednesday 18th, which was online only. I’m visually impaired, and need to attend anything like this with a Personal Assistant/Carer....

Accessible Coldplay Tickets: A Battle Lost?

Heavy Load With the uproar over Dea Birkett’s tweet yesterday about her daughter being turned away from a Proud venue it’s worth mentioning that they are hosting a fantastic festival at Proud Camden on Thursday 24th February. L.T.D. Fest (Let’s Talk Disability) is being hosted by T4’s Jameela Jamil as part  Channel 4′s Battlefront Campaign Lets Talk Disability. It’s got an incredible electric line of performers both...
