The digital revolution is transforming Britain and the arts. Technology is changing our lives there’s mobile apps, tablets, touch screens even contactless payments.
So how do we ensure that disabled people are not left even further behind in the digital world?
Disability Meets Digital is part of Future Everything Summit of Ideas and Digital Intervention on 21st March 2013 in Manchester.
Whether you use digital technology in exhibitions, performances, productions, interactives, mobile or web platforms the content on offer should be accessible to all users, including those who have access needs.
We want to bring everyone who is passionate about access together to look at the issues and share solutions. You can book your free ticket here to be a part of it.
As anyone who knows me I’m sometimes obsessive about digital discrimination and finding good ways of solving it and really want to see the world understand how much we need to be a part of it.
DMD isn’t a campaign it’s a place to meet those who really want to make the arts accessible, the technology universal and a chance to see what the future holds.
Expect lots of discussion everyone taking part will decide the sessions (hence the unconference aspect) with a series of keynote speakers at the start to get us going.
I hope you will join us on 21st March in Manchester at Future Everything and Disability Meet Digital.
